Cardiac/Coronary Care Units – understanding current UK practice
The British Cardiovascular Society (BCS), in partnership with BHRS, other subspecialty organisations, and the Intensive Care Society, is updating its guidance on coronary/cardiac care units (CCUs). The last guidance was published in 2011, and a lot has changed in acute cardiac care since then.
BCS want to understand what CCUs look like across the UK today:
- What types of patients are managed?
- What investigations/treatments are provided?
- How are they staffed?
CCUs vary widely, and your input is key to ensuring the new guidance is relevant and actionable for all centres.
